Privacy Statement

Thomas George Ltd. (TG Ski) take your privacy very seriously and are committed to protecting your personal information given to us when enquiring about or booking a holiday. This privacy statement explains the use of personal information that we collect about our guests. We sensitively handle the personal information you provide when you interact with us via our website, customer service team or other ways. Please note that the information here equally applies if someone else makes travel arrangements on your behalf and provides us with your details. If you handle the arrangements for other guests, please ensure that they are aware of the information contained in this Privacy Statement.

What information do we collect about you?

We collect information about you when you register your interest with us. This includes:

  • a new enquiry
  • enquiry through an agent
  • subscribing to our newsletter
  • confirmed booking
  • providing feedback so we can improve our service, and monitor quality
  • participating in a competition
  • applying for a job with us – either in response to our recruitment advertising or a speculative employment enquiry.

Once a booking has been confirmed, as a guest of TG Ski, you are required to submit the following for each member of your group, so we can prepare for your stay:

  • full name
  • age (this is required as items such as lift passes are priced according to different age groups)
  • dietary requirements
  • flight information
  • home address
  • contact telephone number
  • email address.

Identification

Where necessary we may ask for a copy of a passport, such as to confirm the age for a lift pass discount (free for under 5 years, and over 80 years, however the lift pass office requires proof of age prior to purchase). If any guests are disabled, proof of disability may be required in order to qualify for discounted lift passes.

How will we use the information about you?

We are transparent about the information that we collect, and what we do with it. The information is kept securely by us, and is shared with our team in resort, who are employed by TG Ski. This information is either supplied directly by yourselves, or through the Agents with whom you placed the booking. If you have booked a holiday with us, our contact with you will always be purposeful with the aim of providing you the best possible holiday experience.

We may ask for additional information if you require us to make arrangements with regards to your airport transfers, lift passes, ski hire and ski lessons. This information is requested so that we have all of your requirements prior to your holiday, to best meet your needs. Occasionally we act as an introducer to a third-party service provider (such as a ski school, local restaurant, ski hire), however, it is then up to you whether you continue a relationship with the third party. A lead guest contact number is required to be passed on to the airport transfer company if booked through us, in the event that they need to contact you directly on the day of travel.

Sharing information about you

We will only share information about our guests as outlined in this policy. As previously mentioned, we may share information with third party service providers used in the delivery of your holiday arrangements. We may also share with government and law enforcement for the prevention of fraud, in compliance with the law. We would also share information with any third party to confirm the legal rights of TG Ski.

Anonymous Information

We prepare anonymous statistics for several business reasons. As you cannot reasonably be identified from this information, we may share it with trusted third parties.

Sharing your views and comments

Some of our online services allow you to submit feedback, review our services and share photos, videos and comments. We will request consent if we publish this information on social media, website, or marketing material. You should always exercise discretion when using online services and not expect anything that you make publicly available to be kept private or confidential.

IMPROVING OUR SERVICE

As a way of developing and improving our services, we may use recommendations based on your feedback, or develop our understanding of customer preferences through our past communications. We aim to do this to create a personalised service and recall your previous requests to aid future enquiries.

How long do we keep personal information?

By law we are required to keep basic information about our customers for legal and tax purposes for up to 7 years after they cease being customers. This includes information about your identity, contact, financial and transactional data. We keep the information related to your booking so that we can complete the arrangements for your holiday, and then retain the information to enable us to handle any complaints, queries or concerns relating to the booking, and enabling us to fulfil our obligations to any third party suppliers. The information may also be retained so we can improve any future booking and guest experience, and ensure that you receive any loyalty offers which may be applicable. We review the information that we retain and delete or anonymise it when it is no longer required.

Email communications

When you communicate with us, we may give you the opportunity to subscribe to our weekly email newsletter. Once subscribed, you can choose to unsubscribe at any time. You can do this by following the unsubscribe link of an email, typically at the bottom of the email. This will unsubscribe for the e-newsletter, and if you wish to unsubscribe to other communications, you will need to opt-out separately. This can be done by contacting us to change your marketing preferences. Please note that by opting out of marketing communications you will still receive communications where necessary for live bookings.
